The short version

We use one first-party analytics system, built and run by us — not a third-party tracker, not an ad network, and nothing is sold to anyone. Nothing is tracked until you actively accept below. You can change your mind at any time.

What we use, exactly

That is the complete list. There is no persistent tracking cookie, no cross-site identifier, and no third-party script from an ad network, social media platform, or analytics vendor loaded anywhere on this site.

What gets recorded, once you accept

If you accept, we log a small number of anonymous events as you use the site — which page you are on, that a page was viewed, and a few specific in-product actions (for example, completing a step of The Going Rate). Each event carries the random session ID above, the page path, and where you came from if that information is available to the browser. We do not log your name, email, or IP address as part of this system.

Separately, if you choose to use The Going Rate or register with Axiom People, the details you enter into those forms (such as your email address) are stored as part of that specific feature, under its own consent, and are covered by our Privacy Policy rather than this cookie system.

Why we do not ask for more

We do not use cookies for advertising, do not share data with ad networks, and do not build a profile of you across other websites. The only reason we collect anything here is to see which pages are useful and where people run into trouble, so we can fix it.

We serve users in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Our use of cookies follows the EU ePrivacy rules and the Irish regulations for our EU and Irish users, and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) for our UK users. Non-essential cookies are set only after you consent, in line with both.
